About the Item
Revered interior designer David Kleinberg invites readers inside a selection of projects representing the height of sophistication, luxury, and refinement
For over 35 years, David Kleinberg, whom Architectural Digest calls a designer of ‘singular rooms [that] adhere to the traditional values of elegance, beauty, practicality, [and] comfort,’ has created a body of work that is wide-ranging in style yet always modern in sensibility. Kleinberg is revered for creating spaces that not only epitomize sophistication and luxury, but that also function effortlessly for his clients.
In his newest monograph, Kleinberg shares eleven recent residential projects, some of which have never been photographed until now, in glamorous locales across the United States – in Manhattan, the Hamptons, Aspen, and Palm Beach – as well as on London’s Eaton Square. The book opens with Thom Brown and Andrew Bolton’s townhouse, which was immaculately restored and filled with exquisite furnishings and art from varying periods and closes with an intimate tour of Kleinberg’s own private garden in East Hampton.
Featuring a foreword by Thom Brown and Andrew Bolton, and written with Architectural Digest’s West Coast editor, Mayer Rus, the text offers readers insights into the process of the celebrated interior designer. Wrapped in grey linen and featuring a tipped-in detail shot that shows Kleinberg’s signature mix of contemporary art with period details, the book’s luxe package reflects the elegant, upscale interiors within.

Ray Booth: The Expressive Home: Architecture and Interiors
Author Ray Booth, with Judith Nasatir
For his second book, Booth, a master of modern elegance, creates homes that are strikingly sophisticated and wonderfully livable at the same time.
Booth showcases his innovative and sophisticated modern interiors, which mix a keen sense of tranquility with bold and elegant details, as well as homes renovated inside and out, and houses designed and decorated from the foundations up. Both his exteriors and interiors display a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in an appealingly timeless aesthetic. This exquisitely designed tome presents his forward-thinking vision.
The spectacular projects featured span the country from coast to coast—from a dramatic Los Angeles hillside dwelling with expansive windows to a contemporary Nashville home that marries brick, metal, and wood. For his own Provincetown seaside getaway, he has chosen an unexpected cutting-edge style. These projects show how he pushes the boundaries of design while imbuing spaces with soul.

The elegant spaces featured in the book maintain an emphasis on simplicity and understated glamour, featuring a blend of clean lines, found and Fine objects, and custom-designed, sculptural furniture. Divided by look, the book features multiple homes illustrating each style. "Calm" showcases cool, white interiors, accented by natural textures like wicker and bone. "Clarity" celebrates graphic, contrasting rooms filled with black and white. "Collected" revels in richer colors, accessorized with lush velvet, rich patterns, and metallic accents. "Color" celebrates the power of a palette-driven interior, from spring green, to pale pink, to midnight blue. "Cool" is driven by a funky 1970s vibe, with macramé chairs...
