Hallam's View of the State of Europe During the Middle Ages, complete in 3 leather bound octavo volumes with marbleized boards. The volumes contain the bookplate of former owner, Charles Robert Bignold, with additional old inscriptions. The Bignolds were prominent English business and political figures for many generations. Published London: John Murray, Albemarle Street, 1834.
