About the Item
Frida Kahlo is now regarded as one of the foremost artists of the 20th century. Her reputation grew late in her life and more so, posthumously. During her life she was more famous for being the wife of Diego Rivera. On her death aged 47 in 1954 she left 143 paintings which are only small in size, between 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 or 12 x 15 3/4 inches, however some have become iconic images and many - over a half of them are self-portraits. This book looks at 42 selected masterpieces, reproduced life-size and in detail. 261 pages including lavishly photographed illustrations.
