About the Item
This book is the first complete survey and profile of one of the 20th centuries most accomplished architects and designers. He was incredibly prolific and did not just stick with architecture, he also designed furniture, glass, lighting and ceramics and also founded two magazines - Domus in 1928 and Stile in 1941, but probably the highlight of his career was the design and construction of the Pirelli Tower in Milan in 1956. The entire photographic archive of Ponti's studio together with unpublished writings were available in the preparation of this book, many photographs and archival material are revealed here for the first time. 288 pages with 630 illustrations- 90 of which are in colour, text is in English.
