This book was published in 1984 by MOMA (the Museum of Modern Art) in conjunction with an exhibition which was the first major retrospective of Penn's work. Penn was one of the most sought after and distinguished portrait and fashion photographers of the 20th century, 216 pages with 156 plates (21 of which are in colour) and 35 reference illustrations which cover all aspects of his career with text by John Szarkowski. Includes many of his best known images including some of his wife Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn, who was one of the most striking models of the era.
