This is a hard backed sale catalogue with the original dust jacket, in good condition, which was produced by Christies for the sale of an important collection of furniture by some of the 20th centuries leading designers and including at its heart almost thirty pieces by Jean Michel Frank. In the introduction Jacques Grange says " Exquisite proportions, elegance of form, simplicity of line, the blend of materials, the ease and harmony of his combination of shapes render his work timeless" and goes on to say "One discovers within its scope a taste for beautiful materials: vellum, shagreen, limed oak, straw, plaster or bronze and a selectivity that truly reflects the essence of Frank's genius". With some 61 lots - all photographed in color. With a Forward by Jacques Grange.
