Presented is a signed, first edition printing of Al and Tipper gore’s Joined at the Heart. The book was published in New York by Henry Holt and Company, in 2002. This first edition was signed “Al + Tipper Gore” on the half title page, in black ink. The book is presented in the publisher’s original white cloth spine over white boards, with red titles to the spine, and original dust jacket. It is protected by a new, archival slipcase.
In this book, Al Gore and Tipper Gore, the 45th Vice President and Second Lady of the United States, explore the many ways in which the idea of family is being redefined in America. Albert Arnold “Al” Gore Jr. (b. 1948) is an American politician and environmentalist who served as the 45th Vice President of the United States from 1993 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. His ex-wife Mary Elizabeth "Tipper" Gore (b. 1948) was Second Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001.

Protected with new mylar. Signed by both authors on the half title page, in black ink. Signatures are legible, with no fading or smearing. Text block is clean, the pages are bright and healthy. New archival slipcase, with inlaid photograph of Al and Tipper Gore.
