First edition monograph on the Belgian mid-century designer and interior architect Jules Wabbes (1919-1974), edited and with text in English by his daughter, the art historian Marie Ferran Wabbes. Published in 2010 by Borgerhoff
Lamberigts. Showcases Wabbes’s restrained but luxurious oeuvre in solid exotic stack-laminated woods along with brass, bronze, and leather, mostly produced by his firm Mobilier Universe. Includes commercial and residential projects and features lighting, tables, desks, cabinets, chairs, industrial fixtures, wall systems, hardware, and accessories. 4to (8.25” x 10.75”), stiff pictorial wrappers, 264 pages, fully illustrated. Images include period and contemporary product and interior shots, detail shots, renderings, and blueprints.
