Konstens Göteborg, Nedslag i fyra sekel, Scandinavian Artists, 19 and 20thc. Gothenburg Museum of Art (Swedish: Göteborgs konstmuseum) is located at Götaplatsen in Gothenburg, Sweden. The museum holds the world's finest collection of late 19th century Nordic art. A highlight is the lavishly decorated Fürstenberg Gallery, named after a leading Gothenburg art donor, Pontus Fürstenberg and his wife Göthilda. There is also a large collection of contemporary Nordic art, as well as fine examples of Dutch and Flemish painting from the 17th century, Swedish 18th century painting, Romantic and Academic painting from the 19th century, French Impressionism and international Modernism as well as many children’s book illustrations. The international collection contains works by artists such as Rembrandt, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore and Louise Nevelson. In Swedish.
