About the Item
Le Style Empire: Décoratations, Extérieures et Intérieures, Mobilier, Bronzes. Printed in Paris by Chez F. Contet. All volumes are 1st Ed's with the exception of volume 1 which is a 3rd printing. In 5 large format loose portfolio style volumes with original cloth-backed marbleized board portfolio covers with ribbon ties. The volumes have assorted publication dates from 1920-1930. By 2 authors; J. Vacquier and Paul Marmottan. The full page illustrations are printed on heavy stock and are printed on one side so they can be easily framed. Each volume has several preliminary text pages followed by between 40 and 42 plates, total of 204 plates. Rarely found complete with all 5 volumes. Great reference work for architects, antiques dealers and interior designers.
