About the Item
A beautiful book from 1880 with 183 pages to show varying French product labels. It is divided into five sections - the first four are the vast majority of the book and consist of household items and products: Fabrics, Products for the house, food and drink and perfumes. The last section is on type and print design. All in their way are impressive and will give great ideas for anyone working in label designs, branding and product packing and design. The most impressive section is section three which is nearly fifty pages and includes the labels for cognac, champagne, beer and wine. Very rare and in great condition for its age.
