This is the superb and rare catalogue which was produced by Sotheby's for the sale of the collection of husband and wife Claude
Francois-Xavier Lalanne. 568 pages with 274 lots for sale, each of which is photographed in color and has a description in both English and French. In one of the introductions interior designer Jacques Grange says - " Claude's works were mainly floral, while those by Francois-Xavier were more animal like. Each diverted and amused themselves with unexpected compositions: Sheep-ottoman, apple-mouth, donkey-desk and cabbage-legs, transforming the everyday into the extraordinary. We are also including a second much smaller Sotheby's catalogue from November 2012 which includes a further 15 Lalanne's items for sale - which was part of a sale under the title of " Arts Decoratifs du XX Siecle
