1993 is and will remain the year of Pierre Chareau.
Art lovers, dealers and collectors of his work will be able to see the many facets of this man who made his first piece of furniture at the age of 35.
The Pompidou Center will rightly present at last a major retrospective of the work. Bravo.
Our more modest effort, in preparation for many years, has been brought together with much patience and passion.
I hope that our effort will help both those who know him and those who don't, to discover the importance and originality of Chareau's creativity.
Master technician of great inventiveness, Chareau was able, despite the difficulties of the period between the two wars, to impose a style which comes to us in this "fin de siecle" more or less intact. 83 pages. Paperback . Text: French
