About the Item
An attractive leather bound set of the poetic and dramatic works of Robert Browning (1812-1889) published in 1906 by Houghton Mifflin and Company, New York and Boston. Top edges gilt, each volume with gilt tooled raised spines and an engraved portrait of the poet. Browning was a major English Victorian period poet and dramatist married to poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The present set is 6 volumes bound as three and includes most of his major poetical works.
