About the Item

Very well-preserved book from 1986 in French and English. Rare book about French Art Deco designer and furniture maker Eugene Printz. He had no formal training, but learned his craft when he took over his father's business, which produced copies of antique furniture. In the early 1920s, he began to create modern designs, and in 1925, he and his designs became known at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs, where he collaborated with Pierre Chareau. From then on, he was in high demand and became a favorite of high society. 304 pages, illustrated throughout with color and black-and-white photographs and drawings.
