About the Item
This is the Sotheby's catalogue from May 1984 which featured 247 lots including important French Furniture and Decorations; European Ceramics; Oriental Works of Art; Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings and Silver.
The collection was put together by possibly the greatest American collector of European Antiques and was probably America's most important collection of 18th-century French furniture and decorative pieces.
These works filled the Wrightsman's oceanfront mansion, "Blythedunes" in Palm Beach, Florida.
Some lots have hand written prices on them.
