Ruth and Skitch Henderson's Seasons in the Country, good food for family and friends. New York: Penguin Books USA, 1990. Signed first edition hardcover with dust jacket. 192 pp. Skitch Henderson was a famous musician and Tonight Show band leader who became (along with his wife) successful restaurateurs in New York City. They moved to a Connecticut farm where they opened a cooking school, art studio and kitchen shop. The cooking school classes were taught by notables such as Jacques Pépin, Martha Stewart, and Giuliano Bugialli. The book is the story of the farm along with recipes for every season. Even after their deaths the school remains as one of the best in the country.
