Rare Numbered Edition set of 3 hardcover catalogs in Slipcase. The Prescott Collection: Printed Books and Manuscripts, English Furniture, Old Master Paintings. Christie, Manson
Woods, New York, 1981. All catalogs have gilt edges. This is an extensive lifetime collection with a focus on books by Oscar Wilde and also a large section of material by Rudyard Kipling including many rarities and some manuscripts. Hard to find catalogs in a complete set. The catalogs were limited to 5 numbered editions. This set is number 5 and was given to John A. Dunning. Dunning was an American writer of non-fiction and detective fiction. He is known for his reference books on old-time radio and his series of mysteries featuring Denver bookseller and ex-policeman Cliff Janeway.
