This set of six leather-bound faux dummy English library book fronts from the late 20th century is a remarkable example of Trompe-l'œil design. Each book front is meticulously crafted to resemble four gilt and polychromed aged leather book spines, complete with ebonized wood backs. They feature attached brass swing support brackets, allowing them to stand independently. Each panel measures 9.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide, with the book fronts being 0.75 inches thick. When the brass display hinge is extended, the depth reaches 3 inches. Together, the panels create a continuous 39-inch row of books, though they can be separated and arranged in various configurations. These panels are collapsible for easy transport and shipping. Sold only as a set, they are ready to place and use, offering a sophisticated and versatile decorative solution for any interior.
