Sotheby's, The Krug Collection of Glass Part I. London: Sotheby's Parke Bernet and Co., 1981. First edition hardcover with dust jacket. 185 pp. An auction catalogue for the Krug Collection of Glass held July 7, 1981. Mr. and Mrs. Helfried Krug collected European glass in the 50's and 60's and in those 20 years the collection was recognized as one the most important glass collections in the post-war years. Mr. Krug and his grandfather were in the business of glass manufacturing and surrounded themselves with the best products from other glass-makers. The Krug's decided to auction their collection with the hope of the pieces going to other collections instead of ''the basement of some museum.'' Includes results.
