Vaughan's Sermons 1873-74. Brighton: Brighton Pulpit office, no date. Calf bound hardcover. Unpaginated. Marbleized edges. A series of sermons preached by Rev. James Vaughan, M.A. between 1873 and 1874. David James Vaughan (1825-1905) was born St. Martin's vicarage in Leicester, England. He was educated at Trinity college at Cambridge and help found the Cambridge Philological Society. In 1853 he was ordained deacon and began his pastoral work in Leicester. His addresses were on social, industrial and religious themes to the working man. Sermons include "A New Year's Motto", "The Very Hairs on Your Head are Numbered", "The Light of the World" and many more. Very rare and scarce.NPT Books a division of N.P.
