Co. New York, 1959. This volume was originally published in France as Numbers 27 and 28 in the Verve series. This volume issued for the 1st time with an English translation by Serge Hughes included in an envelope on the front board. Limited to 1000 copies. Printed in France.
This volume represents a wide selection of artists including Matisse, Van Gogh, Rouault, Braque, Picasso, Chagall, Liger, Miro, Derain, Monet and Degas.
The book with original lithographs signed in plate, paste-downs, illustrations throughout., with original dust jacket.
Dimensions: 10 3/4" x 14 1/2" x 1"
Condition: complete with all lithographs and pages. Tears to spine both inside and out, yellowing around the perimeter of boards, yellowing/browning to many of the perimeter of the pages, some pages with age stains. Slight crease to front fly page. Taped dust jacket with wear and tears. See photos for details of condition.
