DESCRIPTION: NEW EDITION. 12 vols., 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", engraved frontis portrait plate in volume one, bound in contemporary full tree calf, gilt decorated spines, gilt lettered green and black morocco spine labels, by B. Scott Carlisle (Binders ticket). CONDITION: Internally clean and bright, front hinge to vol 1 starting but firm, all other hinges fine, rubbing to the head of four spines with some minor loss, still a VERY GOOD set in a contemporary binding.
