Steig was an early member of the NYC Modernist Studio Jewelers of the 40's - 50's. The ideas of that era are still exciting! Designers represented in this collection were much admired by Carl Druckman who, in the 1970's or earlier began to study the different construction methods of these creative studio silversmiths
