About the Item
This pair of cufflinks are initialed by an unknown maker, but originated from West Germany and date to approximately 1960 and done in the Brutalist Mid-Century Modern style. The cufflinks are composed of 1`8 karat yellow gold with a panelled front with a stylized swirled bark background with a series of off centered stylized stacked cubes. The cufflinks have solid curved posts that are clearly marked for 18 karat gold, with the period German assay marks, and W. Germany . Each post is initialed with "HS", but the specific maker could not be identified. The locking bars are hinged and both work as intended.
