About the Item
Sculptural vintage necklace by Pentti Sarpaneva, from Finland circa 1965. This distinct piece is iconic of the designer and is called Punos, kaulakoru, a899. Scandinavian modernism with influence by Nordic Mythology and the Vikings in particular. Both the chain and pendant are made from solid bronze and features a blood red jaspis center jewel. Signed: Sarpaneva, Finland to the backside of the pendant.
