About the Item
Solid sterling silver chessboard with a chess game inspired by the works of sculptor De Chirico. Sodalite top.
The chess set features a silver finish for one player, while the other player has a 24kt gold-plated silver finish. To give the pieces movement, the finish on both pieces has been differentiated, with polished and satin parts. The upper part of the chess pieces was cast using a casting technique, while the lower part is made of hand-molded sheet metal, inspired by the paintings of the famous contemporary Italian painter Giorgio De Chirico.
The base, also made of solid 925 silver, was shaped and hammered entirely by hand.
The chessboard is made of two-tone white and blue sodalite.

After casting, the finish was chiseled and subsequently silvered and finished with 24-carat gold plating.
