The Century of Progress International Exposition, also known as the 1933-1934 Chicago World's Fair, featured a modernistic architectural design, distinct from the Beaux-Arts style of previous fairs. The architectural design was entrusted to a commission led by Paul Cret and Raymond Hood, and included prominent architects like Edward Bennett, Hubert Burnham, John Holabird, and Ralph Walker, along with prominent designers Joseph Urban, Louis Skidmore, and Nathaniel Owings
