About the Item
Theatre Interest a photograph album circa 1880 of 150 mainly Woodburytype photographs of actors and actresses.
Mostly annotated, many in an early hand, including Miss Ellen Terry, Miss Lily Langtry, Miss Amy Roselle, Mdlle. Camille Dubois, Madame Adelina Patti, Mrs Bancroft, Miss Kate Bishop, Miss Kate Stanley, Miss Fanny Josephs and many others, alongside Captain Webb who was the first person to swim the Channel with a quantity of newspaper clippings and other photographs, all laid into a red half morocco album.
Age related discolouration to the paper, overall in very good condition.
