Excellent Provenance This rare antique French carriage lantern is a true collector’s piece — formerly belonging to Émile Loubet, President of France (1899–1906). A symbol of refined craftsmanship and political history, the lantern bears the maker’s plate reading “Lanterne Trouvée – Lucien Veuillot, Paris,” a renowned lantern manufacturer of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Crafted in polished metal with a large convex glass lens, a chimney-style vented top, and a carrying/mounting handle, this piece exemplifies the elegance of the Belle Époque era. Its provenance — ownership by a French head of state — makes it not just a decorative object but a museum-worthy artifact.
