About the Item

19th Century French sedan chair made of hand carved gilded wood hand painted with music trophy, wedding rings at the back and lots of flowers all around. It opens with a beveled original glass door. The interior lined with green silk brocade and trimmings. Even the top is covered with silk The upholstery is not in a good condition but the authenticity is remarkable. There are no restoration made and no missing pieces and the original key is available. A rare and interesting piece for a private collection or museum. France, circa 1830.
