Cameo, Athena. Glass. Possibly Italy, 19th century. Glass cameo or intaglio with a feminine profile. Athena appears here represented with a helmet with animals, a plume, the head of the Gorgon Medusa around her neck and an element in her hand. Compare, also noting the differences, with the so-called Gem of Aspasios from the Rondini Collection (second half of the 1st century BC, Rome) found in the Museo Nazionale Romano in Rome (Itaia).
