This a large and heavy Landers, Frary
Clark cast iron coffee grinder#20 1/2. It has a bell shaped nickel hopper with a flat wood lid and two flywheels adorned in the center with a six petals pierced flower. Also, they have written in raised lettering the name of the company together with New Britain, Conn.U.S.A. in the border. One of the wheel has the wood crank. There is a little wood drawer at the bottom area. It stands in a square shaped wood base.

This authentic early 20th-century coffee grinder was crafted in France by Peugeot Frères, renowned for their exceptional cast iron mills long before they became famous for automobiles. Stamped with the original oval brass badge reading “Peugeot Frères, Valentigney (Doubs)”, this piece was produced in the company’s historic foundry in eastern France.
The cast iron body features deeply embossed lettering: “Peugeot Frères Brevetés S.G.D.G.”, a French patent mark meaning “Patented Without Government Guarantee,” used between 1844 and 1968.
