About the Item

This store display was made for the English film manufacturer, Ilford to advertise their Selo film line during the 1960s in the period Mid-Century Modern style. The frame of the display is done in chromed metal with a molded plastic window. The top features the Union Jack and underneath in prominent letters reads: "Buy British Film". The chrome base also is accented with yellow lettering which reads: "Selo Films" and underneath "Made in England by Ilford Manufacturing, London". There is one shelf in the middle of the display to hold film and two tables at across the top to show the vendor the types of film and prices.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Overall surface wear to the metal and plastic is slightly yellowed. In addition, some paint loss to lettering and flag and minor surface rust noted to the chrome finish on the inside corners as presented in the photos and consistent with age and use.
