About the Item

Two vintage original The Rolling Stones tour date posters. These pieces come from two very different times; for both the Rolling Stones and the country. On the left is a 1964 tour poster highlighting their British Invasion-era mop-top hairstyles for their first-ever U.S. concert at the Orange Show Fairgrounds in San Bernardino, California. Their 11-song setlist was a mix of songs from their album England's Newest Hit Makers, The Rolling Stones, with additional cover songs from Chuck Berry and the Beatles. The poster lists the additional shows on the tour listed on the bottom left. On the right is the poster from 1972 when the Stones went on a 2-month tour in the U.S. after the release of their album Sticky Fingers. This poster, with all the cities listed for the months of June and July, shows a picture of Mick Jagger sporting the rock-and-roll look the band is known for today.
