Rare Menier Chocolatier Salesman Sample Sweets Suitcase Dimensions in inches: H 8.5” x W 12.5” x D 4.5” Age: Mid-20th century Origin: France (Paris) Condition: Aged Overview A one-off rare example of a mid-20th century salesman’s sweets sample case. A variety of glass bottled sweets are handwritten labelled and displayed in a small leather suitcase. Branded Menier Chocolatier on card. There are a variety of glass vials that have sweet chemical powders in them, a few bottles are empty, and one as shown is covered in a sticky brown sugar substance. The case the items are kept in is aged and worn as shown, one latch lock is not present, but the case closes with 2 of the 3 latches working. The internal discoloured plastic bottle cover has a few surface breaks to it, but this is stable and firmly in place. This is an authentic well used object, so please expect this in the overall condition.
