About the Item

Beautiful Septaria Nodule cross-section on metal stand. Septaria Nodules are fossilized mud bubbles and are about 50 to 70 million years old. A major find site of these objects is Belgium. Scientists disagree on how the shape inside originated. One possibility is the expansion/contraction of the spheres by gas inside which cannot escape. This specimen is of great size. The color palette is fantastic, with grayish, earthy and sandy tones creating a soothing atmosphere. Dimensions: 52H x 45W x 11D Without stand: 46H x 37W x 5D
