Commemorative academic medal from the (Latin name on the medal: Universitatis Studiorum Lucanae), to commemorate its first Academic Year.
Front: The University’s emblem — a stylized design with a walking bull at its center, encircled by the Latin inscription SIGILLUM UNIVERSITATIS STUDIORUM LUCANAE and the year MCMLXXXII (1982), which is the founding year of the university.
Back: Inscription in Latin —
PRIMO PERACTO ACADEMICO DIE XXIII NOV. A.D. MCMLXXXIII
meaning: "On the completion of the first academic year, November 23, 1983."
