Model of the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, a wooden representation with iron railings that evokes the monumental original structure built during World War II. The meticulous design captures the essence of the engineering of the era, with a composition of geometric latticework that highlights the bridge's solidity and balance. The original bridge was part of the infamous Burma Railway, a project carried out by prisoners of war under Japanese rule between 1942 and 1943. Its story was immortalized in Pierre Boulle's novel and in the acclaimed 1957 film The Bridge on the River Kwai, directed by David Lean. Although filming took place in Sri Lanka, the real structure, located in Thailand, remains a testament to human resilience.
