Edwardian period silver mounted cane by Henry Pidduck Sons English, 1909 Height 91cm, diameter 4cm Crafted in 1909 by the English firm Henry Pidduck Sons, this elegant cane embodies both craftsmanship and sophistication. Founded in 1842, the esteemed silversmith and goldsmith firm was known for producing high-quality collectibles. The handle, made of silver, is shaped for comfort, offering a smooth and rounded form ideal for a secure grip. It bears a full set of hallmarks, including the maker's mark 'HP&S,' a 1909 date code, the lion passant indicating sterling silver, and the anchor mark for Birmingham. The cane’s dark wooden shaft tapers gracefully and is finished with a durable metal ferrule at the base. A superb example of refined design, this cane would be an exceptional addition to any collection.
