About the Item
Outstanding deep water diorama by noted ship model builder William Hitchcock. Titled "Breezing up in Bermuda", auxiliary schooner yacht Atlantic cruises into St. George's harbor, Bermuda C1928. Held trans-Atlantic crossing record 1905 - 1980. William Gardner design, 1/16th scale William E Hitchcock. The gracious three masted schooner yacht "Atlantic" is passing a fleet of Bermuda Dinghies in Hamilton Harbor Circa 1910. Hitchcock used his trademark deep water technique on this wonderful piece. Fitted to a custom case.
