About the Item

A very rare 19th Century silver watch walking stick of exceptional quality. This exquisite piece is stamped with silver marks and in excellent full working order. The silver watch of circular form is fashioned into a handle with a carrying loop for a chain and winder with decorative fluted detail. The watch's moulded and hinged silver lid opens upwards to reveal a striking enamelled watch face with an hour and minute dial with classic roman numerals and an elegant small seconds subdial, in black against white ground, supported on a finely hand carved, tapering well figured mahogany walking stick.
