About the Item
Large double harp with gold-patinated head and neck and carved paw feet on the base. The harp is marked on the neck "Pleyel, Lyion
Cie (Paris). Harp, sysle. Gve Lyon. Brevete. No. 367". The pillar and body are made of mahogany. Some strings missing. The monogram WP can be found on the underside of the neck.
A model is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
