About the Item
An antique solid mahogany Ship’s Wheel with good size and weight. The axle has an iron core and polished brass front cap and both sides of the wheel have handsome brass inlay.
Condition: The overall condition is very good with only expected and enhancing signs of age including slight check marks, rubs and a slight stable rim crack. One of the handles has been re-attached and there is a stable crack line where the original break occurred, mentioned for accuracy as the Wheel presents exceptionally well.
The Ship’s wheel measures 48” diameter by 6.75” deep at axle. The rim depth is 3.25” deep.
