About the Item
A double gauge bubble clinometer with precision glass tubing and nickel face mounted on a teak back plate. These tilt gauges were used on vessels to measure the angular slant of the ship. The readings are important when heeling underway, and also for loading cargo evenly. Bright colors are used, in this case red, so that the dials can be read at night. Mid-Century Modern. In working order so could be used on your boat, mounted on a wall or held in a stand on a desk or bookcase, late 1900s. In working order.
