Absolutely rare and beautiful ships binnacle by Sir William Thomson of Glasgow. With a substantial varnished base. Polished and lacquered mushroom style hood and compass cowl. Very rare dry card compass on hanging gimbal, all polished to perfection. This is a clipper ship era binnacle Circa 1860! A clinometer is mounted to the base. (Note the face of the clinometer has cracks)
