More information coming soon… A beautiful and towering French monstrance, measuring 37 inches tall. Hand-carved in the 1700s, the giltwood architectural piece is in the form of a Gothic church, with the niche “entrance” serving as the feretory for storing relics.

    Repaired: Traces of old touchups to gilding. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Strong antique condition. Commensurate losses, including cross stipes. Old gilt touchups. Light rubs, that have revealed traces of red bole, which is a desired trait. Very light age separations. Slight wear to the upholstery of the feretory.
