19th Century Santos Head We are proud to offer a rare example of a religious 19th Century hand carved Santos head. With polychrome paint still intact in areas, aged surface to one side gives this item a highly decorative and artistic look. Mounted on a small marble base and complete untouched form. Size in inches approx.: H 8” x W 5.5” x D 7” Period: 1840 Material: Pine Origin: French Condition: Aged Completely solid in structure and form, worn surface, loss of painted surface in certain areas. Treated aged worm holes, this item is over 150 years old so expect age related condition as shown. A rare surviving set and in over very presentable condition. It is exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas on this piece. Therefore, we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections / condition is unclear to avoid disappointment when purchasing.
