About the Item
This is an outstanding and extremely rare hand crafted, solid sterling silver Mezuzah in the original leather and dark purple velvet box.
It was made in Vienna, Austria between 1890 and 1900 by an Artisan. Engraved on the Mezuzah is a Star of David, the Hebrew letter Shin and the Ten Commandments.
Inside the Mezuzah there is a scroll with a wax seal. On the scroll there is ink Hebrew hand writing which translates into English as: “Hear , o Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. “
This Mezuzah is magnificent and a true jewel of its own kind. It would make an excellent cultural gift for any kind of celebration or housewarming.
