Unique and amazing wall cabinet with Gothic church window paneled doors and more. This handcrafted and rare Gothic Revival wall cabinet from the late 1800s is another one of our magnificent finds. The size, the quality of the make and the multitude of Gothic carvings (all around) makes this another perfect purchase for collectors of this ancient and highly decorative style. What makes this very rare find stand out from the very few that are out there (or that we sold before) are the amazing carvings. Each door displays two Gothic church windows and each of the four has a unique Gothic dome atop. Another great feature is the stunning Gothic foliage with the Medieval crest shield in the middle, on either side. These large and mint, intricate carvings in their frames alone will have taken a highly skilled craftsman at least a day each to carve to perfection. The three large quatrefoil symbols at the bottom probably are the best known, architectural Gothic elements. It is in this part of the cabinet where (over the many decades) some restaurations were done and where there are some minor losses. Another great feauture is the Gothic spire tower in the middle (on the door that opens to the right) and the uniquely rounded leaf patterns just above the doors. On top of this cabinet is the original and mint condition (and removable) roof and on the back are two very strong bronze hooks via which this large and heavy Gothic cabinet can easily and safely be wall mounted. Although you will need two healthy grown-ups to mount this large wall bookcase. This fine specimen with its warm patina comes with two glass windows in excellent condition and have you also noticed the stunning and perfect condition, wrought iron Gothic hinges? Both doors open and shut perfectly and the clean inside comes with two beautiful, solid oak shelfs and both are adjustable in height. The left door can be closed with a sliding wrought iron pen and the door on the right has a perfect working lock and key. No matter if it is filled with books, glassware or bibles and religious art this Gothic cabinet will never fail to impress. This truly impressive antique is ready for you to enjoy and, if properly taken care of, so will many generations after you. That is how good this antique and all handcrafted cabinet is. This Gothic console for wall mounting dates from the late 1800s and it has a marvelous combination of floral Gothic elements that make it a joy to own, to use and to look at. All handcrafted more than 100 years ago and always well taken care of, this Gothic Revival wall bracket has the most wonderful shape and a striking patina. This organic design with its natural, flowing lines of the deeply carved Gothic leaves also give it an almost circular look and feel. This rare church relic was once connected to a church column where it would undoubtedly have been the base for a marvelous Saint statue. If you look closely at the image of the backside, you will be able to see that the rounded part has been professionally flattened out so that it now can be used against a (flat) wall.
